SSG Jeff Hansen served his local community as a Police Officer in Kearney, NE. He also served his state and country as a Soldier in the Nebraska Army National and as a Law Enforcement Officer for the Department of Veteran’s Affairs (VA). He was a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney. As a member of 1/167th Cavalry, Jeff served in both Bosnia and Iraq. He was a dedicated professional, who excelled as a leader and had great commitment to the soldiers in his squad. Jeff was known for his calm confidence, and his positive influence on others. His service ended on August 27th 2006, in Balad, Iraq. He will always be remember by his wife, family, and fellow Cav Troopers.
